Autonomous vehicles and driver assistance systems both require sophisticated sensor technology, powerful actuator technology and high-performance data transmission. Especially the sensors for environment and obstacle detection are on high importance. Radar, LIDAR and ultrasound are used, all based on the Doppler-Effect, for detection of obstacles on distance and direction. Optical camera systems complete this range of technology.

This webinar will introduce a modern LIDAR-sensor for for environment detection, an ultrasound-based system for blind spot detection and a rear view camera system; including examples for students hands-on experiments in automotive training.

Topics:
  • How the measuring points of rotating LIDAR sensors can be displayed graphically.
  • Calibrating LIDAR sensor systems.
  • How ultrasound signals can be recorded with a computer.
  • Troubleshooting supported by self-diagnosis.
We show tips & tricks how to carry out these experiments successfully in classic teaching and Digital Education.

Increasing automation and connected processes, PLC-training gets further importance in industrial development. ASIMA is a universal PLC-trainer for teaching the basics of this technology.

Focused on testing for own PLC programs, commissioning and wiring are also part of the exercise.
Due to using standard laboratory cables, all kind of PLC can be connected to this unit.
Overlay masks offers to choose from 33 prepared tasks and applications.
Starting from basic logical functions up to complex systems.

For each application, a simulation is programmed in the unit. It shows a LED visualised process and gives the user direct feedback about the functionality of his PLC program.
Topics
  • Installation and commissioning of the ASIMA
  • Logical basic functions implemented on the system trainer
  • Quick change of task level through different masks
Application to a complex industrial process using the example of a mixer
